PV PAINT Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Vietnam National University HCM City, University of Science
On 6th June 2026, Petrovietnam Paint Joint Stock Company (PV PAINT) and the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, University of Science signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the connection between scientific research and practical business demands in the paint and coating materials industry.

At the signing ceremony, representatives of the University, PV PAINT, and Petrovietnam emphasized the importance of collaboration between businesses and educational and research institutions in promoting innovation, developing core technologies, facilitating access to advanced research outcomes, and accelerating the research and development of high-tech products. This cooperation is expected to enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises in an increasingly dynamic market environment.

Mr. Vu Duy Cuong – General Director of PV PAINT expressed his expectation that cooperation with the University of Science would expand access to advanced research outcomes.
Associate Professor Dr. Le Van Sy – Head of Science, Technology and Digital Transformation Department of Petrovietnam emphasized the importance of collaboration among enterprises, universities, and research institutes.

In the near future, Petrovietnam will study about appropriate support mechanisms for laboratories, research groups, lecturers, scientists, and students participating in the Group’s projects. These initiatives will create favorable conditions for activities regarding research, testing, and the development of products with strong practical application potential.
Mr. Le Van Sy expressed his confidence that close cooperation between enterprises and universities, and practical market demands with scientific research capabilities, would lead to the development of products bearing a distinct Vietnamese identity and contribute to the growth of Petrovietnam as well as the national energy sector.
